Context
Velmoor Estates is a fictional business and this is a concept redesign, not a client project. The scenario: a long-established independent agency in a fictional market town, competing with national chains and online-only agents.
Problem
In the scenario, the old site is a portal-style template. It looks like everyone else's, hides the local expertise that is the agency's real advantage, and is awkward to update. A vendor comparing agents online would find little reason to choose the independent.
Approach
Position the agency around local knowledge rather than listings alone. Property search remains central but sits inside a site that tells the story of the people and the place.
Design
Warm tones, editorial layouts and real local imagery (represented by placeholders here) replace the generic portal look. The valuation request becomes the primary call to action.
Proposed outcome
A distinctive, credible presence designed to reflect three decades of local reputation and give vendors a clear reason to instruct an independent.
